San Diego Comic Con LogoThe San Diego Comic-Con is winding down at the time of this report. This Examiner has been deluged with reports, information and events at this year’s con, and these next few articles will be a recap of events, highlights of the Best of Comic-Con, and schedules for even more upcoming comic-related events. If you missed this year’s Con—or you have never even heard of the San Diego Comic Con—which is unlikely unless you’re a newly-initiated fan, you’re definitely going to need to be in the know for all that’s going on next year!

Comic-Con International: San Diego, commonly known as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con, is an annual multigenre fan convention founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention and later the San Diego Comic Book Convention in 1970 by Shel Dorf and a group of San Diegans. It is traditionally a four-day event (Thursday through Sunday—though a four-hour preview night on Wednesday is open to guests pre-registered for all four days) held during the summer in San Diego, California, at the San Diego Convention Center.
