Now that House of the Muses has been completed and my printed copies are on their way here, I am going to be immersing myself in the works of the legendary artist Moebius for the next several months. I've had plans to transition from computer-generated 3D art back to pencil and ink for some time now because for my sci-fi series A Deviant Mind there are some episodes that I wanted to illustrate in different styles. I may just become a hybrid because I've done things in CGI that I just can't do with pen and ink.
I illustrated a sequence in House of the Muses in pencil and ink, but that was about 10 years ago and I was not that happy with it. I've loved Moebius' style since the Heavy Metal movie back what seems an eternity ago.
Leveling up. Time to get the nose to the grindstone because I have a lot more stories to tell. In the meantime, here are some tips from the great Moebius himself:
