I was surprised at how well my brother in law edited the mixing of this piece, Leonard Cohen's legendary hit Hallelujah. We literally mixed it off Facebook. He'd posted a video of his cover of the song, which was one I happened to love from way back. I told him if he sent me an instrumental version, I'd cover it for him. I uploaded the vocals, and Robby remixed it on the spot. Wow.
Merry Christmas.
Pam, that’s you singing? you sing? you been holding out on the fans!
So far the buzz across Facebook is that I have everybody in tears. I am a little surprised at the reaction so far. As I play it I can pick it apart and tell where I could sing it much better. But it’s like I’ve told many an aspiring artist: The emotional response is what defines whether a piece of art is good or not. :/
