For #GivingTuesday I'm promoting my local animal shelter, the Animal Refuge Center. They do great work, and this year have made unprecedented progress: between the shelter and community volunteers Madge Walker and James Latham, have spayed and neutered over 100 community cats with the Cookie's Legacy Fund, those feral cats on the streets you see that nobody wants or can adopt out. They always say, "Spay one, save 100." The Animal Refuge Center has guaranteed that more than 1,000 will not end up in shelters or be put down next year.
