Hey!!! Many thanks for all the heartfelt birthday wishes and condolences. Yes, I'm now at the Big 5-0. "How Do You FIND Yourself--When You Can't Remember Where You Left Your Housekeys?" Jerrie and I are just a few weeks apart, so that comment made him either laugh or cry. No worries, though--I got the midlife crisis over with a long time ago. I still have an endless flow of stories to go, and let's make the next 50 years awesome!

OMG…Tayge is in charge of her training???? the girl’s doomed!
Some of you guys have really been underestimating Tayge and Lucky for a long time now! I haven’t forgotten it was Dragonrider who started calling them “Dumb and Dumber” out of the blue and I haven’t been able to shake that perception of the guys since.
This means I have to try harder and write better. 😉

ok…at one time I wished for the stranglation death of Najimi, at Tara’s hands….but… she grew on me…Lucky and Tayge…hey…didn’t he hand Najimi a condom? rest my case…
Yeah, but take another look at that exchange. Najimi says “..in his big, dumb, goofy sort of way he thought I was still a PROSTITUTE and would be bad news for Asuka–” and calls him Dork at the end. It’s politically correct these days to get offended at any sort of perceived insult, but Tayge has let Najimi know he cares about what happens to her, and the two of them do have an understanding. Understanding has been a huge chip on Najimi’s shoulder for a long time now.
We’re talking about stuff that’s happening in A Deviant Mind #17 months from now. Having the comic issues ahead of time has its own pitfalls, doesn’t it? Hahahah.
At any rate, she QUIETLY called Tayge a Dork. Najimi never calls anyone names quietly. Tayge’s gesture was weird and out of place (and he keenly felt that more than she did), but it had its own meaning considering the position he’s in, with two teenagers who look up to him, but being of age, he really has no authority over.
*I* know he’s being clumsy and odd about trying to accept her. But Najimi now understands that he’s on a learning curve as much as she is. When you see some of these upcoming stories about how Najimi was treated for being transgender/intersex, you will see the gesture of acceptance, strange as it was, meant more than it would appear to at an outsider’s glance.
I’m not saying they are bad guys at all…just dorks thats all…heh…its great having the printed issues and being ahead of the webcomic…then coming on here talking about the characters and story with Pam!(GOD, I LOVE BEING A GEEK!)
