I hope Najimi is able to pull through after this incident. Even though I have seen glimpses of her past, I can’t even begin to imagine what she’s gone through all of those long, torturous years. If I were to meet her, I’d try to give her a hug (tell her that things will get better), although she may not like getting them from people other than those she knows (and who know her) well.
Heh heh heh–Najimi wouldn’t admit it openly, but she LIKES hugs. You’ll catch that on Page 11.
In this story, Najimi does tell us a lot more about what she went through. Jerrie Lee bought the comic the minute it came on sale, so I’m sure he’d love to talk about how this issue went. I enjoyed writing this episode as much as the rest of you will enjoy reading it.
“(A Deviant Mind #19) is my favorite issue so far. Just fantastic writing. We feel Najimi’s pain with this story … awesome work, Pam.” — Jerrie Lee

That cover is very foreboding
AIN’T it tho??? I was feeling inspired by those old 60s and 70s DC Comics covers at the time I set this up.
